The different materials have different attributes, colours and structures, something that, again, requires various tools. From the beginning I liked to put together different materials. The monument to Thor Heyerdahl had to be in larvikite. The decoration for the cruise ship had to be in steel and aluminium. The boat construction at Aker Maritim, of course, had to be in wood. These are the choices I make to solve the problem.

The 22 July memorial had to be in the whole, indestructible stone, not bronze on a plinth.
